Biographie:
Anna Spina, geboren 1971 in Bern, studierte Viola an den Musikhochschulen in Bern und Zürich. Später erarbeitete sie sich das Repertoire des instrumentalen Theaters bei dem griechisch-französischen Komponisten Georges Aperghis an der Hochschule der Künste Bern. Anna Spina ist eine gefragte Interpretin zeitgenössischer Musik und eine überaus innovative und vielseitige Bratschistin. Ohne ihre klassischen Wurzeln zu verleugnen, forscht und arbeitet sie auf den verschiedensten Gebieten: Sie spielt als Mitglied und Solistin im Nouvel Ensemble Contemporain und zahlreichen anderen Ensembles für zeitgenössische Musik, interessiert sich für mikrotonale Musik und Spektralmusik und vertiefte sich im Unterricht bei dem ägyptischen Geiger Abdou Dagher in die Tonsysteme der arabischen Musik. Von der Schweizerischen Kulturstiftung Pro Helvetia wurde sie 2005 zu einem interkulturellen Projekt nach Kairo eingeladen und 2008 in ein großes Austauschprogramm mit China aufgenommen. Ihr Repertoire umfasst die wichtigen Solo- und Kammermusikwerke des 20. und 21. Jahrhunderts sowie eigens für sie geschriebene Werke. Ihre Interpretationen entwickelt sie – wann immer möglich – zusammen mit den Komponistinnen und Komponisten, so auch auf der hier vorliegenden CD.
