Biographie:
Der Dirigent Daniel Grossmann wurde 1978 in München geboren. Ab dem 5. Lebensjahr erhielt er Klavier-, später auch Cello- und Gambenunterricht.
Seine Dirigierausbildung begann 1993 in München bei Dr. Hans-Rudolf Zöbeley und wurde an der Metropolitan Opera in New York bei Scott Bergeson sowie an der Liszt Ferenc Akademie bei Prof. Ervin Lukács in Budapest fortgesetzt. 1997 debütierte er mit Pergolesis Oper La serva padrona. Seitdem dirigierte er zahlreiche Konzerte im In- und Ausland, unter anderem das Barockensemble Capella Savaria, die Ungarischen Philharmoniker Debrecen, das Georgische Kammerorchester Ingolstadt und das Failoni Kammerorchester der Ungarischen Staatsoper Budapest.
Seit 2000 ist er wiederholt Gastdirigent des Jüdischen Sommerfestivals in Budapest, wo er 2003 Mendelssohns Violinkonzert mit Igor Oistrach aufführte. Das Konzert wurde vom Ungarischen Rundfunk und dem Ungarischen Fernsehen ausgestrahlt.
2005 initiierte Daniel Grossmann das Orchester Jakobsplatz München der Israelitischen Kultusgemeinde München.
