Biographie:
FRANZ SCHINDLBECK, geboren 1967 in Mallersdorf, trommelt seit seinem sechsten Lebensjahr. Mit zwölf Jahren bekam er dann regulären Schlagzeug-Unterricht und studierte von 1983 bis 1988 an der Musikhochschule Trossingen bei Hermann Gschwendtner. Ehe er Mitglied der Berliner Philharmoniker wurde, sammelte er von 1988 bis 1992 erste Orchestererfahrungen als Solo-Schlagzeuger im Orchester des Nationaltheaters Mannheim.
Franz Schindlbecks Liebe gilt neben der klassischen Musik auch dem Jazz: Schon während seines Studiums spielte er in zahlreichen Bands und in der Landesjugend Big Band Baden-Württemberg als Drummer. 1999 gründete er mit philharmonischen Kollegen die Berlin Philharmonic Jazz Group. Seit 1994 unterrichtet er auch an der Orchester-Akademie der Berliner Philharmoniker.
