Max Simonischek, geboren 1982 in Berlin, absolvierte sein Schauspielstudium an der Universität Mozarteum Salzburg. Er hatte Engagements u. a. am Wiener Burgtheater, am Maxim Gorki Theater in Berlin, in den Münchner Kammerspielen, bei den Salzburger Festspielen, an den Schauspielhäusern Stuttgart und Frankfurt und am Deutschen Theater Berlin. Neben Lesungen in Deutschland, Österreich und der Schweiz steht er regelmäßig für Film und TV vor der Kamera, z. B. als Kommissar in der eigenen ZDF TV-Reihe Laim oder in den Kinofilmen Der Verdingbub, Am Hang, Akte Grüninger, Die Göttliche Ordnung und Zwingli.
Max Simonischek erhielt für seine Theaterarbeiten den Wiener Theaterpreis NESTROY und den Friedrich-Luft-Preis für die »Beste Berliner Inszenierung«. Für seine Filmarbeiten erhielt er den Deutschen Fernsehpreis für Hindenburg, den Schweizer Fernsehpreis für Der Verdingbub sowie zwei Nominierungen für den Schweizer Filmpreis als »Bester Hauptdarsteller«.
